Chapter 21: Scholarship, Freeship & Government DBT Management
This chapter covers the complete configuration and administration of Government Scholarships, Freeships, Institutional Concessions, and Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) workflows in Uttercode School ERP.
The platform provides an end-to-end bridge between state/central welfare portals (such as MahaDBT, NSP - National Scholarship Portal, and Social Welfare Departments) and your institutional fee ledgers.

6. Fee Counter POS Integration & Concessions
Navigate to Finance & Fees → Collect Fees (POS) (index.php?page=fee_collection).
Uttercode School ERP completely prevents financial friction between scholarship disbursements and fee collections:
┌─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┐
│ STUDENT FEE LEDGER (POS DESK) │
├─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┤
│ Total Standard Class Fee: ₹ 45,000 │
│ Expected Government Scholarship (Tuition/Exam): - ₹ 35,000 │
│ ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── │
│ Net Student Payable Share (Activity, Library): ₹ 10,000 │
│ Status: [ELIGIBLE FOR OBC_PMS - GOVT RECEIVABLE HELD] │
└─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘
Key POS Fee Features for Scholarship Students:
- Automated Govt Receivable Deduction: The counter POS displays the expected government reimbursement alongside the student's personal payable share.
- Partial Collection Without Penalty: Cashiers can collect only the student payable share without marking the student as a fee defaulter.
- Scholarship Concession Vouchers: Generates an audit voucher linked to the student's admission number.
- Defaulter Exclusions: Verified scholarship applicants awaiting government treasury disbursement are automatically excluded from hostile fee recovery SMS lists.
7. Government DBT & Bank Reconciliation Desk
