Chapter 3: Patient 360° Records & Universal Health ID (UHID)
Every patient entering the hospital is assigned a Universal Health ID (UHID) that acts as the single permanent identifier linking all outpatient visits, admissions, lab reports, prescriptions, and financial transactions.
1. Registering a New Patient
To register a new patient:
- Navigate to Patient > New Patient Registration (or press the shortcut
Alt + Nfrom the Front Desk). - Enter the patient's primary details:
- Full Name: Prefix (Mr./Mrs./Master/Baby), First Name, Middle Name, Last Name. - Gender & Date of Birth / Age: Auto-computes age or DOB. - Primary Mobile Number: Used for SMS token updates and prescription links. - Emergency Contact: Name, relationship, and contact phone number. - Blood Group & Known Allergies: Critical flags that appear highlighted across all doctor workstations. - Address & Area Master: Helps classify regional patient demographics. - Govt Identification / Aadhaar Card: Scanned or manual entry for legal and TPA identification.
- Click Save Patient Record.

2. Patient 360° Comprehensive Timeline
Clicking on any patient record opens their complete Patient 360° Dossier:
- Longitudinal Visit History: Shows every past OPD consultation date, attending doctor, recorded diagnosis, and prescribed medicines.
- IPD Admission Logs: Past admissions, ward stays, surgical procedures, and discharge summaries.
- Diagnostic Test Repository: Archive of all hematology, biochemistry, and radiology reports with historical trend graphs.
- Document Vault: Scanned copies of external test reports, insurance cards, and signed consent forms.
- Consolidated Financial Ledger: Real-time balance of total billed amounts, advance payments received, and outstanding dues.
